Who Is O.P.E.N.?

OPEN is The Overseas Professional Employee Network.

OPEN exists to upgrade, serve and facilitate tentmakers (T1, T2, T3) and BAM (business as mission) workers who are currently on the field working. Our emphasis is on the least reached peoples of the world for the glory of Jesus Christ. We are a network of field workers who are seeking to encourage and stimulate one another to greater love and good works.

OPEN is a network of workers who are disciples of Jesus Christ utilizing real jobs in all avenues of work. We are in the world, but not of it. We are of varied ministries and callings. We are burdened to bless the Lord by encouraging, serving and facilitating one another. We are peer-led; we shepherd one another.

OPEN operates as the internet. We are flexible, fast connecting, utilizing the network and our experience to build more effective ministries, teams, families and businesses. Likewise we encourage and model field coaching and accountability as is appropriate to the needs and economies of the cultures from which an individual or a team serves. We are bound together by nothing more than our allegiance to Jesus our Lord and our commitment to one another to be one in Him.

OPEN provides a network for servicing and coaching tentmakers through relationships built on trust. OPEN Huddles are key to building trust in each other. Huddles are annual meetings of field workers. Huddles are by invitation only. You may request attending in the “Huddle” section of this website.

OPEN is not an organization. There is no membership. OPEN is administered by a committee of tentmakers which is elected by those present at the yearly Huddle. There is no office, there are no staff. We are a true network.
